Domination with respect to nondegenerate properties: bondage number
نویسنده
چکیده
For a graphical property P and a graph G, a subset S of vertices of G is a P-set if the subgraph induced by S has the property P . The domination number with respect to the property P , denoted by γP(G), is the minimum cardinality of a dominating P-set. The bondage number with respect to the property P of a nonempty graph G, denoted bP(G), is the cardinality of a smallest set of edges whose removal from G results in a graph with domination number with respect to P unequal to γP(G). In this paper we show that some known sharp upper bounds for the ordinary bondage number are sharp upper bounds for bP(G) as well.

Roman domination with respect to nondegenerate graph properties: vertex and edge removal
For a graph property P and a graph G, a subset S of the vertices of G is a P-set if the subgraph induced by S has the property P. A P-Roman dominating function on a graph G is a labeling f : V (G) → {0, 1, 2} such that every vertex with label 0 has a neighbor with label 2 and the set of all vertices with label 1 or 2 is a P-set. The P-Roman domination number γPR(G) of G is the minimum of Σv∈V (...

متن کاملOn the complexity of some bondage problems in graphs
The paired bondage number (total restrained bondage number, independent bondage number, k-rainbow bondage number) of a graph G, is the minimum number of edges whose removal from G results in a graph with larger paired domination number (respectively, total restrained domination number, independent domination number, k-rainbow domination number). In this paper we show that the decision problems ...
متن کاملUpper bounds for the bondage number of graphs on topological surfaces
The bondage number b(G) of a graph G is the smallest number of edges of G whose removal results in a graph having the domination number larger than that of G. In a sense, the bondage number b(G) measures integrity and reliability of the domination number γ(G) with respect to the edge removal, which corresponds, e.g., to link failures in communication networks. We show that, for a graph G having...
متن کاملOn Equality in an Upper Bound for the Domination Number with Respect to Nondegenerate Properties
For a graph property P and a graph G , a subset S of vertices of G is a P -set if the subgraph induced by S has the property P . The domination number with respect to the property P , denoted by γP(G) , is the minimum cardinality of a dominating P -set. Any property P satisfied by all edgeless graphs is called nondegenerate. For any graph G with n vertices and maximum degree ∆(G) , γP(G) ≤ n−∆(...
